Donald and his three nephews are snowed in in a mountain cabin. Donald has an “ingenious” idea how to reach the valley. They coast down the steep slope on garbage-can lids. Donald does not listen to Dewey’s warning and finds a rapid shortcut. Wrapped inside a huge snowball, he makes a rather painful descent.

This is Bill’s first winter story. 14 more are to follow until the end of 2006.

No less than three funny birds are watching the Ducks’ wild winter antics. Bill drew two flying insects, too.
