Launchpad is to order free samples for Scrooge. Due to a computer error, instead of one jumping bean one billion of these legumes are delivered. What is worse, with rising temperature the beans begin to jump wildly from the money bin and spread terror in Duckburg. With the help of Launchpad, Huey, Dewey and Louie, the bean masses are driven into a canyon. Scrooge pays the damages from the sale of jumping chairs which find a ready market.

Bill’s funny bird is watching the antics with disbelief on page 8. Three flying insects decorate the chaotic story.

William Van Horn made a cover for the story.

In 1992 the Disney Studios made a 3-D version of this story which was published in DC3D 1.
