Donald has a job at a dude ranch on the prairie. He is to guide the guests on their excursions on horseback. Rocko, the villain, realizes that Donald is not the brightest one and arranges with him for a guidance to Horseneck Wash. Rocko does not tell his guide that a strongbox containing 50 pounds of gold from a bank heist is supposed to be found there. Indeed, Donald leads the gangster to a dried-out creek. However, Rocko is getting angry because he cannot find a trace of the safe. In the ensuing fight Donald comes out on top. The tide is turning when Rocko’s accomplice, who secretly followed the two, draws his gun. Suddenly Donald’s boss turns up and disarms the two crooks. None of the four horsemen notices the safe which is hidden close-by.

Six funny birds and five flying insects can be found in the rough landscape.
