Near Duckburg the infamous Mt. Cranky towers. Not a nice name for a mountain, so the mayor announces a contest where the first person to reach the summit may give the mountain his name. On the day of the contest many Duckburg citizens join Donald and his nephews on their way. Among them Woimly Filcher and even Rumpus McFowl. After an exciting climbing tour Huey, Louie and Dewey are near victory, but Itzy Bitzy, the whistling flea, is the first to hop onto the summit. So old Mt. Cranky is named after a flea.

Eight flying insects and two funny birds are watching the brave mountain climbers.

With Rumpus McFowl, Woimly Filcher and Itzy Bitzy, Van Horn joined his three most famous characters in a single story.
