Donald goes treasure-hunting in a self-constructed submarine. His efforts to raise a promising chest turn a group of anglers into castaways. Unfortunately, the treasure turns out to be worthless. Since Donald is not able to pay the anglers’ damages he is sent to jail.
A fly has strayed into Donald’s house. The funny bird is sitting on the jail sign in the last panel.
Bill also made a cover for this story (DDAD 19).
