The Ducks go to Knob Knocker Flats to search for a rock for the Junior Woodchucks’ sculpture contest. Soon they meet a strange scientist …

Bill is at work on three new stories:

“Nose Job” (D2008-307 – 9 pages – Donald Duck)

“The Stick-Up” (D2008-308 – 8 pages – Uncle Rumpus)

“Coff It Up” (D2008-349 – 10 pages – Donald Duck)

“The Stick-Up” is the first comic featuring Rumpus McFowl as the title hero. Bill already finished it in January.

Problems at Gemstone Publishing continue. The American comic publisher has closed down its office in White Plains and canceled all upcoming Disney items.

It cannot be anticipated yet if and when Gemstone will resume production.

All Canada is winterly cold … All Canada? No! It will heat up at a certain house in North Vancouver, for William Van Horn celebrates his 70th birthday today!

We wish you all the best, a nice party and tons of good luck for this round anniversary, Bill.

Egmont is now preparing the publication of Bill’s story “Nothing Like It” (D2008-123, 8 pages) in Europe. When Scrooge wakes up on a fine morning, he has a very traumatic experience …

The translation into German will be done by Gerd Syllwasschy.

Bill has just finished a new Rumpus 8-pager and will send it to Egmont these days.

Weather permitting, of course – North Vancouver is experiencing the worst snowy winter in 28 years!
