As it turns out, the new story by John Lustig and William Van Horn is now called “A Double Dose Of Triple Trouble” instead of the other way round.
Another story by John, “Oh, Say … Can You See?” (DD2002-027 – Donald Duck – 14 pages), has recently been published in several Scandinavian countries. It was drawn by Carlos Mota.

Some information has been added to the article about the Non-Disney comics. Also, we have added a Nervous Rex story from 1995 which we had overlooked so far.
On the Children’s books page you can now have a look at the covers of “The Very Special Birthday Present” and “Celebrate Valentine’s Day.” The children’s book covers are complete now.

Bill is currently working on two new Donald stories:
1.) Close-Ups (8 pages)
2.) Lost And Clowned (10 pages)
The new Donald story written by John Lustig, “A Triple Dose Of Double Trouble,” has 12 pages. Bill completed the story in the beginning of the year. Possibly Egmont will soon publish this comic in Europe.

William Van Horn’s son Noel draws mouse stories which are no less imaginative than his father’s duck stories. We have now added a page on Noel Van Horn.

The latest issue of the German “Micky Maus” weekly presents a double-page poster with a calendar sheet designed by William Van Horn.
The May issue of Walt Disney’s Comics (& Stories) no. 680 includes the first U.S. publication of “In A Minor Key” (D2004-056, 10 pages) and a new cover by Bill.
Van Horn’s story “Just For Kicks” (D2005-371, 10 pages) is scheduled for WDC 686. WDC 684 will contain a story by Bill, too. The title is not yet certain. Probably it will be “The Phoney” (D2005-372, 10 pages).
Walt Disney Treasures no. 2 has been postponed to December.

There are not many Disney artists who put such a lot of care into the atmospheric depiction of the seasons as William Van Horn. For this reason we have dedicated an article to Bill’s winter stories.

About half a year after wvh.barksbase.de went online, summaries and comments are available for each and every published Disney story by William Van Horn. It was not an easy task to count all those flying insects!
Of course we won’t take this as an excuse to lean back in our armchairs. More articles are already in the preparation stage.

Spring Fever no. 1 includes the two reprints “Lost On A Dog” (AR124, 4 pages) and “Nap In Nature” (KJD066, 2 pages).
The new April issue of Walt Disney’s Comics (& Stories) no. 679 reprints the Van Horn story “Blow Me Down” (KJS001, 2 pages).
Also, this issue features the Mickey Mouse ten-pager “Faulty Circuits” (D98199) by Noel Van Horn.

John Lustig was so kind to revise his biography and provide some additional details. It is a highly interesting information that he wrote another Disney story for Bill in late 2006 – the first Lustig-Van Horn collaboration in about ten years.

Today we have added a portrait of gifted Disney writer John Lustig to the topics section. John has been collaborating with Bill for more than twenty years, writing 15 Disney stories for him.

The February issue of Walt Disney’s Comics (& Stories) no. 677 includes the Van Horn story “A Louse In The House” (D2005-044, 10 pages). This is the first time this comic has been published in English.
The descriptions of the Egmont comics of the 1990s have been completed now.

Today, William Van Horn’s fame is mainly based on his Donald Duck stories. However, one shouldn’t forget that Bill also created about 500 comic pages with characters of his own whose inventiveness and wit are by no means inferior to his Disney pieces.
We put a new section online today which is wholly dedicated to this period of his work.
